decisions, decisions

my life has changed a lot in the past few months.
to actually tell you how it’s changed?  well i can’t. lol

i am not too sure what has changed, or why suddenly it feels like i have no time to myself.

i am pretty much go-go-go until the dinner dishes are washed – which is normally well after 7.

by the time i am able to sit and chill – it’s after 8.

by then – i am just dead.  absolutely exhausted.

it also seems that that is the only window of opportunity i have to go to the gym.

right after work just doesn’t fit into my life anymore.
i have too much to do and not enough time to do it.

believe me, i’ve looked at different scenarios – and nothing seems to fit.

so i am debating whether i should quit the gym.

for the past few months all i’ve done is pay them.

i could go after 8 – but by that point i’ve checked out…i am so completely done with the day.

i can’t even imagine willingly getting on a cardio machine.

but it seems like that is my only option and one that i am not overly thrilled about.

oh – i know there’s the morning…but i can’t even get out of bed on time for work, never mind waking up at 5 to work out.
it just doesn’t work in my life.  me and the morning are not friends.
there is no point in denying that i am just not a morning person.

and so – what to do what to do?  do i just cancel the gym – or kick myself in the ass and go after 8?

    I’ve struggled with the same dilemma for a long time. I cannot, for the life of me, get out of bed early enough to exercise before work UNLESS it’s a rare day when I don’t have to work until 10ish. Then I’m fine 😉 I canceled my gym membership. No sense paying for something I’m not using.

      you’re right lunchy. besides i’ve got tons of stuff i could do at home. there is just no way i could get up at 5 and be impressed lol. even going at 8 or 9 at night – that would wake me right up and god knows what time i would go to bed!!

    I have the same problem. I just don’t have enough time to make it to the gym. I have to be up by 0500 to get ready for work and I don’t get done with my second job until after 8. Then kids must be tended to. I say cancel the membership. Your dog would appreciate a walk….and that’s free! 🙂

    Hi Bee – been a while. i am letting my gym membership lapse too. I have dumb bells (4 sets) ankle weights, stretch bands, pilates machine, and 3 bicycles.. i will take before and afters, but I AM GOING TO PROVE ONE CAN STAY FIT AT HOME (or on the road) No more guilt…besides I walk twice a day and run errands on my bike…Whew, I am tired already.. Besides, Bee, you have that cute cute puppy to exercise with you. Lucky You.

      wow – sounds like you have no need to go to the gym, you have everything you need to do it yourself! i still haven’t cancelled. i just can’t make up my mind!

        well, i’m not a stranger to the blue funks….but at my age, it seems to take longer to crawl out of the pit….hey, just checking…you’ve been awol for a couple of weeks. i am distraught that my last years shorts don’t fit right or at all… and although the extra 10 lbs is still within a healthy BMI – sadly, i’ve turned to flab…but I CAN DO THIS – i was in fantastic shape 2 years ago, and will surpass my former glory…lol peace, zig
